Since 1833 St John's Church has welcomed people from around the world to the vibrant community of Leytonstone.
Designed by architect Edward Blore, who also worked on Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, the tower of St John's Church, Leytonstone, is an East London landmark. Now, following an 11-year restoration programme, we invite you to experience a unique view of London from the top of the 23 metre (75 ft) tower.
Look out for the Olympic Park, St Paul's Cathedral, The O2 (Millennium Dome), the Shard, Canary Wharf, BT Tower, the London Eye, Epping Forest, and the hills of Essex, Kent and Surrey beyond.
YOUR VISIT INCLUDES
Tours last approximately 90 minutes, including half an hour at the top of the tower.
There are 96 steep steps, with a chance to rest halfway. It is not advisable for people with a heart or respiratory condition to climb the tower. Please wear appropriate shoes, and warm clothing that you do not mind getting dusty. Under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. A maximum of 20 people are are admitted on each tour.
